Subject: We have adopted a baby girl!

Hello all,

We had our court date today.

We were in the "closed" court today with the judge, the secretary, the prosecutor (representing the babies interests), the social worker representing the ministry of Education, and our translator.

Our session lasted 1 hour 10 minutes. I gave our introduction and why we wanted to adopt, and then answered numerous questions from the judge, and then the porsecutor...

Then Maureen was asked to stand, and add anything she wanted. THEN the judge and the prosecutor proceeded to ask her questions for about 1/2 hour!

Very tiring, very stressful but it is now over.

The female judge has concurred with the prosecutor and ruled that it is in the best interests of Venera that she be adopted by us.

We (well just Maureen since I'm returning home to be with Sullivan) must now wait out a 10 day period in which someone could come forward to appeal the verdict (not likely).

HURRAY! We are very glad that is over.

Only a few pictures today, as we could only visit Bailey once today due to the court date.

..Thank you all for your support,

Andrew and Maureen
