Before I continue, here are a couple of small gifts, passed on by our friend Mary Brannigan:

First an Angel!

(no need to say they came from a "Chain Letter"!)

Here is the state of affairs the night before our appointment.
All is going well still.
  • Maureen is off her blood pressure medication completely at this point, and her blood pressure is staying down. The doctors continually tell us Maureen's blood pressure will rise, it is just a matter of when!
  • She is still taking injections of Fragmin, twice a day (7am and 7pm) in her thighs and abdomen,  to help her system cope with the babies. The bruising is still there, but the sites are "only" the size of golf balls now.
  • She is still very nauseous, despite a medication the doctors gave her. It is to the point of throwing up, so we can only hope this doesn't last much longer. She is hit hardest in the morning, and around dinner time! Her finely tuned gag reflex is no help, and neither are the horse sized Calcium supplement pills she has to take.
  • She is still working at St Micael's, but is getting prepared to tell the hospital that she will have to start trimming back. The doctors have said that around 24 weeks she will probably have to start taking it easy.
  • She is still waiting to feel the first real movements. She has felt some fluttering, but is still not sure that it was the babies. Everytime we go in they are so active, that it is hard to believe that she hasn't felt anything yet!

Appt. Time
Bottom Line. We had a good appt. The doctors looked for and checked out the spine of "Boris" which they didn't have a chance to see last time. All is looking good.
We had some confusion on which baby was which, but we are clear now. Abigail is lower down and near the back, Boris is higher up and in front. When the time comes, Abigail will be born first.
On to the next Appt..............
