Off the coast of Mexico, Lieutenant Martinez, José and their associates take command of two of Spain's warships; their intention is to sell them to the government of Mexico. When two of their conspirators disappear, Martinez and José begin to cross the country with all speed, to get to the capital at Mexico City to make sure their missing comrades aren't out to strike a bargain for themselves.
