In Lima, Peruvian Martin Paz is an Indian who's in love with the daughter of Samuel, a businessman who is only interested in getting a large dowry for his daughter's hand. At this time, when the Indians are fighting against the Spanish dominance, Martin's interest in the girl may get in the way of freedom for the Indians.
